Moon and Venus
This black-and-white astrophotograph captures a conjunction of the crescent Moon and Venus, taken on January 3, 2025, in Lovasberény, Hungary. The image highlights the visible glow of Earthshine on the dark portion of the Moon alongside the bright disk of Venus. Shot on Fuji Neopan Acros II film using a Minolta XD 5 camera mounted to a Meade 80/480 Triplet telescope, the 7-second exposure at f/4.8 preserves the classic, fine-grained look of traditional film astrophotography.
