Orion

A 30-minute tracked exposure isolating the central core of the constellation Orion under the pristine dark skies of Zselic, Hungary. The frame highlights the three alignment stars of Orion's Belt - Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka - leading down toward the glowing complex of Orion's Sword, dominated by the bright core of the Orion Nebula (M42). Captured wide open at f/2 on expired black-and-white Fortepan 100 film with a Minolta XD 5, the exposure yields high-contrast star profiles and classic silver-halide texture.
