Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS)

A 20-second tracked exposure using a 135mm telephoto lens, tightly framing Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) as it climbed higher into the dusk sky over Biatorbágy, Hungary. Taken just two days after Earth crossed the comet's orbital plane, the narrow field of view isolates the compact, brilliant coma and reveals the delicate structure of its fan-shaped dust tail extending upward into deep blue twilight. Captured on Kodak Ultramax 400 film with a Minolta XD 5, tracked with Omegon LX2 MiniTrack.
